The Consortium of National Law Universities has described the CLAT exam pattern for the candidates to be acquainted with the sections, types of questions and the exam difficulty level. The exam pattern provides all the details about the CLAT Test modalities. In 2023, the CLAT exam pattern saw a significant change. The number of questions in the exam were reduced from 150 to 120, and the consortium introduced comprehension-based questions.

It is noted that the paper pattern is like the last year, which means the UG question paper will have 120 questions and total time duration of the exam is 2 hours i.e., 120 minutes.

These questions would be divided across the following 5 subjects:

1. English Language

2. Current Affairs, including General Knowledge.

3. Legal Reasoning

4. Logical Reasoning

5. Quantitative Techniques
