The Consortium of National Law Universities NLU will conduct the Common Law Admission Test (“CLAT”) 2023 for admissions to the five-year integrated Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes on Sunday, December 18th 2022, from 2 P.M. to 4 P.M. The test will be conducted at 127 Test Centres in 23 States and 2 Union Territories across India. The Consortium has taken all necessary steps to ensure a safe and secure test environment for all candidates, staff and faculty.

The Consortium of NLUS released Admit Card for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2023. CLAT Aspirants can download the admit card using their mobile number and password from the official website- consortiumofnlus.ac.in. CLAT 2023 exam is slated to be held on 18 December 2023 between 2 pm to 4 pm for both undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) programmes. The admit card will carry details of the exam centre and subject code.

A huger number of CLAT Aspirants have registered to appear in CLAT 2023. All the eligible candidates who have applied for this exam can collect their Admit Card to attends CLAT 2023 exam on the schedule date and time.

CLAT 2023: General Exam Day Instructions

1. You must make sure to bring the CLAT Admit Card and any government ID proof on the exam day for verification at the exam centre. Otherwise, you will not be allowed to write the exam.

2. The Candidates shall be permitted to enter into the premises of the respective Test Centres by 1:00 P.M. onwards and to be seated in the Examination Hall by 1:30 P.M. in the respective seats of the Examination Hall.

3. The Candidates, once entered the Examination Hall will not be permitted to leave the Hall before 4 P.M.

4. Candidates who arrive late will not be permitted into the Examination Hall after 2:15 P.M

5. Make sure to switch off your mobile phones and deposit them at the designated location.

6. You must provide an SAP (PwD) certificate if you use the scribe.

7. You must sign in the admit card in the presence of the Invigilator.

8. You will be disqualified from the exam if found either copying or receiving or giving assistance to others.

9. You are not allowed to leave the exam hall before completing the exam.

GUIDELINES FOR PERSONS WITH BENCHMARK DISABILITIES (PwDs) / SPECIALLY ABLED PERSONS (SAPs)

CLAT : Medical Instructions for CLAT

The consortium of NLUs also to released Medical Instructions to be followed for this academic year.

Health and Safety of all stakeholders is of a paramount importance to Consortium of National Law Universities. It is also the collective responsibility of all stakeholders including the candidates writing the test on 18,December, 2022. Therefore, Candidates shall:

1. Reach the test centre well in time to identify the Seating Place in the Seating Plan displayed and avoid crowding at a particular location at the test centre.

2. The centre staff will check the temperature of each candidate with Thermal Guns. If the temperature of any candidate exceeds 99.14° F, such candidate will be directed to be seated in a

quarantined room. Such candidate will not be permitted to leave the quarantined room until all candidates have left the Test Centre.

3. Any candidate who has been tested COVID-19 positive recently and is in isolation will not be permitted to take the CLAT-2023 examination scheduled on Dec 18, 2022.

4. Keep wearing the face mask/ shield etc… and always take necessary precautions in the premises of the Test Centre, particularly in the Examination Hall.

5. Use/keep Sanitizer safely and not spill it on the OMR Response Sheet and Question Booklet as there is a possibility of it getting blurred with the chemical liquid and may be invalidated by the OMR Response Sheet reader.

CLAT 2023: Code of Conduct

Code of Conduct for CLAT 2023 is expected to be quite similar to that of last year.

√ You must make sure to bring the CLAT Admit Card and any government ID proof on the exam day. Otherwise, you will not be allowed to write the exam.

√ You must reach the exam centre at least 30 minutes before the examination.

√ You will not be allowed inside the exam hall after 15 minutes of the commencement of the examination.

√ Do not carry electronic devices inside the examination centre.

√ The candidates are required to put his/her signature and fill all the details such as Admit Card No., Question Paper Booklet No. on the front page of the OMR Response Sheet.

√ You will be disqualified from the exam if found either copying or receiving, or giving assistance to others.

√ Avoid talking inside the exam hall.

√ You will not be allowed to take the exam if you tested positive and are under medical surveillance or in isolation.

√ Only significant items that include Mask, Gloves, Personal Transparent water Bottle, Personal Hand Sanitizer (50 ml), Exam related documents (Admit Card, ID card, etc.) will be allowed to carry to the exam hall.

CLAT 2023: Exam Dress Code

You must make every effort to adhere to the dress code. Candidates are on the spot disqualified if they don't obey the clothing code on exam day.

a. To eliminate the possibility of hiding any cheating material, you should only wear light clothing.

b. A half-sleeved shirt or t-shirt with no big buttons or emblems is preferred.

c. As recommended, you must wear just slippers or sandals; also refrain from wearing unapproved shoes in the test venue.

d. Avoid carrying items that are unacceptable in the Examination Centres.

e. Females should not carry rings, nose pins, chains, badges, etc., inside the exam hall.

CLAT 2023: Misconduct Rules

All are advised that you do not cause any disruption at the exam centre. If caught misbehaving in the middle of the exam, you will suffer the consequences. If you are found guilty of any of the following misconduct would lead to instant disqualification:

Making use of any debarred items in the hall:

. Trying to impersonate or mimic someone

. Misbehaving during the interview or at the time of the exam

. Using the candidature in the wrong means in any way

The negative results would lead to the following situations:

. Instant disqualification from the exam or on the spot disqualification.

. Rule out on a temporary or permanent basis from the procedure of recruitment.

. Disqualification will still be practised if any guideline is not followed throughout the selection process.

CLAT 2023: Banned Items

You must make sure not to carry any of the following items inside the examination hall.

Food items.

• Any metallic items.

• Electronic devices like calculator, Cell Phones, Bluetooth, Headphones of all types, Headsets, Cameras, pagers, Microphones, digital watches or Health bands, etc., are banned.

• Items like Goggles, Handbags, Caps, Wallets, belts, etc., are banned.

• Stationery Items such as textual material, Pencil Box, Calculator, Geometry, Pen/Pencil, Plastic Pouch, Writing Pad, Scanner, Eraser, Scale, Pen Drive, Log Table, bits of papers, Electronic Pen, etc.

On getting caught in possession of the goods listed above in the exam room, the officials will deem it offensive and take action against you using unfair means.
