The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has released the updated list of CLAT exam centres 2021 on the official website. The authorities have added 18 new CLAT test centres to the list. CLAT application form correction window, to modify the exam centres and relevant details, is available from July 1 to 4, 2021.

The number of CLAT exam centres increased keeping in view the safety of applicants and staff amid the ongoing Coivd-19 situation. The authorities decided to increase the exam centres of CLAT to reduce the travel of applicants, their respective parents/ guardians; and it will also result in a lesser number of candidates on each test centre.

Updated CLAT 2021 Test Centres List

As per the updated NLU list of CLAT Test Centres,18 new CLAT 2021 test centres are added. The latest addition of CLAT exam centres includes Amrawati (Maharashtra), Chittor/ Tirupathi, Cuttack, Gwalior, Hooghly, Hubli/ Dharwad, Kanyakumari, Kottayam, Kurnool, Meerut, Mangalore, Puducherry, Rajahmundry, Salem, Surat, Tirunelveli, Vadodara, Vellore.

 

How to Change CLAT 2021 Exam Centre

The CLAT exam centre change option is available on the NLU consortium official website. With this facility, candidates can now choose an exam centre near to their hometown. Candidates will be allowed to select a maximum of three test centres in the order of preferences. Check below the steps to do so –

  • – Go to the official CLAT consortium admission portal.
  • – Login using registered ID and Password.
  • – Click the “Edit Application” option.
  • – Go to the “Preferences” tab.
  • – Update the 3 test centres in the order of preference.
  • – Click the Next (>) button.
  • – Scroll down, agree to the declaration and click “Save Form” button.

The authorities will try to adjust the first and second preferences of the test centre.

Documents Required at CLAT Exam Center

Candidates must carry any one of the photo ID proof mentioned below along with CLAT Admit Card for verifying their identity. The list is as follows:

  • PAN Card
  • Passport 
  • Driving License 
  • Voter’s ID Card
  • Bank Passbook with a photograph
  • Photo ID proof issued by a Gazetted Officer on official letterhead along with a photograph
  • Photo ID proof issued by a People’s Representative on official letterhead along with a photograph
  • Valid recent Identity Card issued by a recognised College/ University
  • Aadhar card with a photograph/ Employee ID/ Bar Council Identity Card

 

Instructions for CLAT Exam Centers

Candidates are advised to adhere to the guidelines mentioned below at their respective exam centers:

  • Candidates are required to maintain social distancing and avoid crowds or gathering.
  • Mandatory body temperature checks will be performed at the gate.
  • Candidates must replace the masks and gloves with the ones provided at the exam centre.
  • Those who have come in close contact with other candidates or invigilators must sanitize their hands.
  • Candidates who have covid 19 symptoms such as fever must request a separate room.
  • Candidates who are using scribe services must ensure the scribe is also adhering to the guidlelines.
