The Consortium of National Law Universities has decided to hold the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) twice next year. The CLAT 2022 will be held on May 8, 2022, while the CLAT 2023 will be conducted on December 18,2022.
A decision to this effect has been taken during the annual executive committee and the General body meetings of the Consortium of National Law universities help under chairmanship or Prof. Faizan Mustafa add, NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad here on 14th November 2021.
“CLAT 2022 will be held on May 8,2022. The Consortium also resolved the CLAT 2023 will be held on December 18, 2022. Hence, in 2022 Two CLAT examination will be held in one year. The Consortium of National Law Universities, Secretary cum Treasurer, Prof. Sudhi Krishnaswami say in a press release.
Further, the Consortium resolved to reduce the counselling fee from rupees 50,000 to rupees 30,000 for the general category candidates and rupees 20,000 for ST/SC/OBC/BC/E WS/PWD and other reservation candidates.
The Consortium has elected a new executive committee with Prof. Poonam Saxena, vice chancellor, National Law University, Jodhpur, taking over as president from the outgoing president Prof. Faizan Mustafa, Vice Chancellor, NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad.
Prof. Vijendra Kumar, Vice Chancellor, Maharashtra National Law University, Nagpur was elected as the vice president and professor VC Vivekanandan, Vice Chancellor, Hidyatulla National Law University, Raipur was elected as clat convenor, 2022.
